Women cricketer Shikha Pandey honoured by Indian Air Force
Shikha Pandey is the first lady officer from the Services to represent the Indian cricket team. She made her Test debut against England in 2014 and a week later made her ODI debut.
On tuesday, Indian Air Force felicatated Shikha Pandey of the India Women's cricket team who was the member of ICC Women's World Cup 2017. Shikha Pandey recieved a cheque and medal from Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa at Air Headquarters in New Delhi. Shikha Pandey was commissioned in Indian Air Force on June 30, 2012 as an Air Traffic Control Officer.
Shikha Pandey was honoured because of her brilliant performance in the ICC Women's World Cup 2017 and ended of being runners-up and reach the finals after the long 12 years. Shikha Pandey took 3 wickets against South Africa, 2 wickets against England and in the semi-final against Australia scalped 2 important wickets in the ICC Women's World Cup 2017.
