Warner guides SRH to a win over KKR
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)registered an impressive win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 37th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League(IPL) on Sunday. On the back of David Warner's brilliant hundred, SRH posted a total of 209 runs on the board to snatch a 48 runs victory.
David Warner's 59-ball 126 made sure that Sunrisers put up 209 runs on the scoreboard in the first innings. Having lost the toss and put into bat first by Kolkata, SRH skipperDavid Warner added 139 runs with Shikhar Dhawan for the first wickets. Dhawan was out for 30-ball 29. Warner's innings included 10 fours and 8 sixes. Warner's 126 is the highest score by a captain in IPL history. Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 40 rus off just 25 balls. Chris Woakes was the only wicket taker for KKR as he dismissed David Warner.
Kolkata in reply didn't started well as they lost both their openers Sunil Narine(1) and Gautam Gambhir(11) and were struggling at 12-2. Robin Uthappa played well for his 53 runs with 4 sixes and 4 fours. Manish Pandey scored 39 runs for Kolkata. No any significant contribution from other batsmen made sure that KKR fell short of the target by 48 runs. 2 wickets each for Bhuvneswor Kumar, Mohammad SIraj and Siddarth Kaul while Rashid Khan got one wicket.
David Warner was named Man of the Match for his match winning hundred.
