In the 30th match of VIVO Indian Premier League between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rising Pune Supergaint (RPS) at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, Robin Uthappa and the skipper Gautam Gambhir steals the show to climb top of the points table.

The skipper Gautam Gambhir and in-form Robin Uthappa’s crackling half centuries sail the team to 7 wicket win on Wednesday. Robin Uthappa 87 runs in 47 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes and Gautam Gambhir 62 runs from 46 balls with 6 fours and 1 six helps the KKR to guide safely to the top of the table. Gambhir notched up his 34th half-century in his 100 game for the men in purple.

The host team Rising Pune Supergaint showed the poor bowling display and the tourist KKR comfortably chased the target of 183 runs in just 18.1 overs losing 3 wickets.

Rising Pune set a target of 183 after being asked to bat first. Captain Steve Smith led from the front with an unbeaten half-century to help Rising Pune Supergiant post 182/5. Smith scored notout 51 runs in 37 balls with 4 fours and a six and Rahane scored 46 runs in 41 balls with 4 forus and 1 six. Apart from that, Rahul Tripathi scored 38 from 23 and Dhoni scored 23 of 11 balls.

Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav (2/31) was the pick of the bowlers for KKR.
