Srilankan Lions beat Indian Stars in second match of Asian Club Premier League


Srilankan Lions defeated Indian Stars by 53 runs in the second match of Asian Club Premier League at TU Ground on Tuesday.

Srilankan Lions posted a total of 154/7 from their allotted 20 overs. Sandun Samarakodi scored 59 runs while Visba Gayasan contributed 30 runs for the Lions. Sandun and Visba put on a 69 run partnership for 4th wicket to take their team to a good score after they were once struggling at 39/3.

Indian Stars in reply were allout for 101 runs in the 15th over. Amar Karnawal was the only batsman from Indian Stars who reached double digit scores. Amar scored 19 runs. Stars kept on losing wickets regularly as Nishan Samarakodi and Karan Walia picked up 3 wickets each.
