Smith back to top in test batsman ranking
Australian Steve Smith is back to top of ICC Test Batsman Ranking getting past Indian skipper Virat Kohli. After Kohli's underwhelming performance in the test against New Zealand, he find himself in number 2.
Smith and Kohli have been swapping first and second spot in the ranking a number of times in recent years. Virat however can still get to top provided he can come back with improved performance in the second test against the Kiwis.

Virat could only manage only 21 runs in the first test as India was thrashed by New Zealand by 10 wickets to take 1-0 lead in the 2 match series with one match still left to be paid.
Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson reclaimed his number 3 position. Australian Marcus Labuschagne sits at 4th followed by Babar Azam, David Warner and Joe Root. Cheteshwor Pujara has slide down to 9th spot while Ajinkya Rahane and Mayank Agarwal are at 8th and 10th position respectively.
