Rohit awarded Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award
The vice captain of Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma has been awarded the Rajib Gandhi Khel Ratna award. Rohit is now the fourth cricketer to receive this award after Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
The Indian Ministry of Youth and Sports on Friday decided to honor five players, including cricketer Rohit, with the award. The award will be distributed virtually on August 29 on the occasion of National Sports Day. Earlier, the awardused to be given at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

India men's fast bowler Ishant Sharma and women's allrounder Deepti Sharma meanwhile will receive the Arjuna Award, which recognises outstanding achievement in sports, along with 25 other sportspersons.
