Nepal pays price for it’s batting failure, loses against Oman

Nepal lost the crucial match against Division III winners Oman in it’s second game of ICC WCL Division II at Windhoek. The dismissal started with opener Gyanendra Malla, who caught behind the wicket at 7 runs. None of the Nepalese batsmen could exhibit a remarkable inning while bowler Kaleemullah pick up 4 wickets giving away 28 runs with two maidens in his 10 overs spell. Nepal could only add 138 runs on the board losing all their 10 wickets at 46 overs.

Oman chasing the target of 139 runs, Aqib Ilyas scored 46 runs while Wategaonkar scored 37 not out to reach the total at 35.1 overs losing it’s 4 wickets. Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 2 wickets while Sompal and Basanta picked 1 wicket each. Nepal will play it’s 3rd match against UAE on 11th February.
