Mumbai Indians to the top defeating Delhi

Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals have registered win from their respective matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday. Mumbai defeated Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets each.

After winning for the 5 out of 7 games, Mumbai are now at the top, surpassing Delhi. Delhi also has 10 points in 7 games but the team is behind Mumbai in run rate. Delhi's only previous defeat was against Hyderabad at the Sheikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Hyderabad and Rajasthan are in 5th and 6th position with equal 6 points respectively.

Delhi won the toss and elected to bat. Shikhar Dhawan hit 6 fours and 1 six off 52 balls to remain unbeaten on 69 while skipper Shreyas Iyer hit 5 fours off 33 balls for his 42 runs. Krunal Pandya picked up 2 wickets for Mumbai.

In reply, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav scored 53 runs each as Mumbai chased down the target with two balls to spare. Ishan Kishan scored 28 runs. Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets from Delhi.
