Mukhiya Took Six As Army thrashes Far-West by Eight Wickets
Tribhuwan Army Club registered their first win against Far-Western Development Region by 8 wickets. Far-West won the toss and elected to bat first but the decision taken by the captain of FWDR was not in their favour. The toss played an epic role in the batting collaspe of FWDR where the entire team was restricted within 22 overs scoring just 50 odd runs. Batting first, the top scorer was number 9 batsman Basant Khatri scoring 20 off 27 balls. Only one batsman managed to score double digit with the bat where five of them were back to their pavilion without scoring. Jitendra Mukhiya took his best domestic figures of 10-3-22-6 with an economy of 2.20 following his partner, Sagar Pun with 3 wickets in 6 overs just conceding 10 runs.
In reply, Army chased down the small target in just 6.3 overs. The top scorer was the captain Binod Bhandari scoring 21 notout off just 15 balls with 4 fours. Openers were dismissed shortly scoring 10 runs each. Sagar Bhandari and BInod Lama shared 1 wicket each. Man of the match was awarded to the medium pacer Jitendra forhis brilliant bowling spell.
