Malinga retires from all forms of cricket
Veteran Srilankan bowler Lasith Malinga has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Captain of Srilanka's 2014 T20 World Cup winning team, Malinga shared the announcement via social media post.
"Hanging up my #T20 shoes and #retiring from all forms of cricket! Thankful to all those who supported me in my journey, and looking forward to sharing my experience with young cricketers in the years to come." - Malinga tweeted.
Known for his ability to bowl deadly yorkers, Malinga played a crucial role in Sri Lanka reaching the final of the 2011 World Cup. Malinga remains the highest wicket-taker in the IPL till now. He has also taken 4 wickets off 4 consecutive balls twice in international cricket. Besides, he has five hat-tricks in international cricket.
