Kings XI Punjab has been knocked out off the playoff chances in the ongoing VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) following a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets. With this win, KKR are alive in the race to the playoffs while Punjab's chances to playoffs is finished.

KKR chased down a target of 184 runs with 7 wickets and 2 overs to spare. Player of the Match Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 65 runs off 49 balls which included 5 fours and 2 sixes.
