India win series despite Sam Curran’s heroics

Despite heroic innings from the bat of Sam Curran, India defeated England by 7 runs to win the 3 match series 2-1. Chasing a target of 330 runs to win, the visiting team finished on 322/9 falling short of the target by 7 runs.

Earlier, England won the toss and invited the home side to bat first. India posted 300+ total in the third consecutive time this series to finish on 329 from 48.2 overs. Rishabh Pant was the top scorer for India with 78 runs off 62 balls which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. Opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 67 runs while Hardik Pandya played well for his 44 ball 64. Krunal Pandya (25), Rohit Sharma (37) and Shardul Thakur (30) contributed to India's total.
