Gayle to play in EPL for Pokhara Rhinos
Hard hitting West Indies batsman Chris Gayle will be playing in upcoming edition of Everest Premier League (EPL) to be held in Kathmandu. Gayle will be playing for Pokhara Rhinos in the tournament.
At a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, Pokhara Rhinos revealed that Gayle would be playing for the club in EPL. Pokhara Rhinos owner Deepa Agarawal said on a press meet today, “EPL success motivated us to convince one of the best T-20 players and legend of the game, Chris Gayle, to feature in EPL. It is not yet clear how many matches Gayle will play during the EPL season”
"I will be visiting Nepal for the biggest sporting event, the Everest Premier League," Gayle said in a video message on Twitter. "Come and support my team Pokhara Rhinos and be part of a magnificent cricket fiesta."
Along with Chris Gayle, there will be well known international cricketers playing in the EPL including Liam Plunkett (England), Hashim Amla (South Africa), Dwayne Smith (West Indies), Mohammad Shahzad (Afganistan), Seekkuge Prasanna (Sri Lanka), Upul Tharanga (Sri Lanka).
