Boult stars as India suffer second consecutive loss

India suffered yet another humiliating loss in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup in UAE as New Zealand defeated them by 8 wickets. This is India's second consecutive loss after they were thrashed by arch rivals Pakistan in the first match by 10 wickets. 

New Zealand won the toss and elected to field first. Indian batting never really got going with the Kiwi bowlers dominating throughout the innings. India finished on 110/7 after 20 overs. India went on with Ishan Kishan in place of Surya Kumar Yadav for this match. Kishan opened the innings with KL Rahul. Kishan could manage just 4 runs while Rahul made 18 runs. Rohit Sharma came in at number 3 to contribute run a ball 14. Skipper Virat Kohli made 9 while wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant scored 12 runs. Hardik Pandya (23) and Ravindra Jadeja (26) tried their best to uplift Indian innings but wasn't enough to challenge the Kiwis. 

Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand as he finished with the figures of 3-20 from 4 overs. Ish Sodhi picked up 2 wickets while Tim Southee and Adam Milne shared a wicket each.

New Zealand in reply chased down the target comprehensively with 8 wickets and 33 balls to spare. Daryl Mitchell played well for his 49 while Guptill made 20 runs. Captain Kane Williamson remained unbeaten on 33 runs from 31 balls. Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets.
