Bhuvneshwar Kumar to miss rest of IPL
Injured fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is set to miss the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season. Sunrisers Hyderabad confirmed this on Tuesday. He suffered a thigh injury in the match against Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on Friday.
He could not even complete his fourth over due to injury. "Bhuvneshwar Kumar will miss the rest of IPL 2020. We also wish him a speedy recovery from his injury." Hyderabad tweeted. Now left-arm fast bowler Prithvi Raj will take his place.
Led by David Warner, Hyderabad is second from bottom. The team has performed poorly in the eight-team tournament and has won just two of its five matches.
Hyderabad, the 2016 champions, have already lost all-rounder Mitchell Mars due to injury. He will be replaced by West Indies captain Jason Holder.
