Rajasthan vs Kolkata : Match Prediction, Probable XI, Fantasy Tips, Head to Head
The twelveth match of the ongoing 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Dubai International Stadium.
Rajasthan have played their 2 matches in Sharjah, which is the most batting friendly pitches among the 3 venues used in the tournament. Kolkata however have played both matches at Abu Dhabi with bigger boundaries. This match will be played at Dubai.
Head to Head Stats
Total Matches Played : 21
Won by Rajasthan : 10
Won by Kolkata : 10
No Result : 1
Having played their both matches at Sharjah with shorter boundaries, Rajasthan might find it harder to score big at Dubai against Kolkata. Rajasthan's batting has been performing exceedingly well as KKR bowlers will look to restrict the inform batsmen from RR. A good contest is expected when these two teams take the field against each other on Wednesday.
As far as the outcome of the match is concerned, I am going with Kolkata this time. Having said that, it won't be a one-sided encounter with one team dominating the other. I just feel that KKR might find it more easy to adapt the playing conditions at Dubai as compared to Rajasthan.

Rajasthan have batted brilliantly in the 2 games they've played so far. Especially skipper Steve Smith and Sanju Samson at the top of the order have been brilliant in both matches. Rahul Tewatia was brilliant the other evening when he hit 5 sixes in an over off Sheldon Cottrell to give Rajasthan a win over Punjab.

Jos Buttler is someone to watch out in this match. Buttler played his first match of the season against Punjab but couldn't trouble the scorers much. RR can't always depend on Steve Smith and Samson as Buttler needs some runs under his belt. The likes of Robin Uthappa, Riyan Parag and Tom Curran's batting haven't been yet tested this season yet.
There are some issues in Rajasthan's bowling attack though. Jaydev Unadkat hasn't had good outing as he conceeded runs with an economy of over 10 in both the matches. It has been the batting of RR that has won the matches for them.
As far as KKR are concerned, Shubman Gill was brilliant for his 70 runs against Hyderabad. His opening partner Sunil Narine hasn't provided that brisk starts at the top of the order that he has been known for. Nitish Rana got starts in both games he played but hasn't converted that into a bigger one. Eoin Morgan was in his groove against Hyderabad scoring a 29 ball 42. The big hard hitting West Indian Andre Russell hasn't lived upto the expectations but its just a matter of time when he starting finding the rhythm.
Personally, I am pretty impressed with Shivam Mavi. He may not have picked up significant number of wickets but has bowled decent. After a day to forget against Mumbai, Pat Cummings was good for his figures of 19-1 in the last match. Kuldeep Yadav just bowled 2 overs in the last match but his body language looked good in comparison to the first match. Russell chipped in with a wicket in both the matches.
Overall, it will be an interesting contest between RR and KKR. Rajasthan is the only team to be undefeated so far in the tournament but its very early to look at this stats with just 2 games played. KKR would be looking to end that winning streak of Rajasthan and register their second win of the tournament.
