Kolkata vs Hyderabad : Head to Head, Fantasy Tips and Probable XI
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are locking horns against each other in the eighth match of the ongoing 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. Both KKR and SRH have one loss from the single game they have played this season.
Whoever wins the match, will be their first win of this season. Hyderabad were defeated by Bangalore as SRH's inexperienced middle and lower order was exposed. Kolkata lost to Mumbai by 49 runs as they couldn't chase down 196.
Head to Head Stats
Total Matches Played : 17
Both teams KKR and SRH have some issues to be sorted out. Inexperienced middle and lower order can once again prove costly for SRH while bowling could be major concern for KKR. Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey had a good partnership for SRH in their first game but collapsed once Manish got out. Pat Cummins had a day to forget for Kolkata against Mumbai as he had an economy of over 16 from his 3 overs.
As far as my personal opinion is concerned, I will give Kolkata slight advantage over Hyderabad. It will be the battle between off-color KKR bowling against the inexperienced middle order of SRH.
Fantasy Tips :
Suggestions based on form :
Jonny Bairstow, Dinesh Karthik, Manish Pandey
Differential Picks :
Mohammad Nabi, Nitish Rana, Shivam Mavi, T Natarajan, Shubhman Gill
Kolkata Knight Riders Probable Playing XI:
Player to Watch Out : Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana
Sunrisers Hyderabad Probable Playing XI :
Player to Watch Out : Jonny Bairstow and Rashid Khan
Looking at KKR lineup, I don't expect any changes in their eleven. The teams looks balanced on paper despite having a bad day against Mumbai. Someone like Shubhman Gill needs to get runs as Prithvi Shaw did for Delhi and Mayank Agarwal did for Punjab.
Sunil Narine can be the X-factor with his quick cameos at the top of the order to set the tone and momentum for the team. Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell are two big names in the middle order and they need to step up if KKR to produce good results.
Apart from Narine, none of the KKR bowlers looked good in their previous match. Most bowlers had an economy of over 10 for KKR. KKR will hope that it was one of the bad days in the field and the guys will bounce back hard agasint Hyderabad.
Hyderabad on the other hand, will miss the services of Australian Mitchell Marsh for the rest of the tournament due to injury. Mohammad Nabi is expected to take Marsh's place in the eleven which is not a bad choice either. Nabi is a quality T20 bowler and is pretty handy with the bat as well. The top 3 looks solid as always for SRH with Warner, Bairstow and Manish Pandey. But the real issue is their inexperienced and untested middle order. Someone among Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg or Abhishek Sharma needs to uplift their game and contribute significantly for the team.
