Hyderabad vs Punjab : Fantasy Tips, Probable XI, Match Prediction
The 22nd match of the ongoing 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Dubai on Thursday.
Head to Head Stats
Total Matches Played : 14
Won by Hyderabad : 10
Won by Punjab : 4
No Result : 0
The head to head stats is in favor of Hyderabad as they have won 10 out of 14 encounters between these two sides. Looking at the recent performances, I am backing Hyderabad to win this one too.
If Hyderabad can address the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar properly and stop the opening duo of Rahul-Mayank, there is a higher possibility of SRH coming out victorious.
Fantasy Tips :
Suggestions based on form :
KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey
Captain and Vice Captain Picks :
Differential Picks :
Priyam Garg, Rashid Khan, T Natarajan, Nicholas Pooran, Mohammad Shami, Ravi Bishnoi
Sunrisers Hyderabad Probable Playing XI :
Player to Watch Out : Jonny Bairstow
Kings XI Punjab Probable Playing XI :
Player to Watch Out : KL Rahul
Despite the openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal getting big runs consistently, KXIP has been unlucky to have just a single win so far. KL Rahul is at top in Orange Cap race with 302 runs while Mayank is at third place with 272 runs. Punjab lost some close games initially but their last match against Chennai has raised eyebrows in their bowling department. KXIP couldn't even dismiss a single wicket as CSK won the match comfortably by 10 wickets chasing a target of 179 runs.
Currenlty placed at bottom of the points table, the Punjab side would desparately want to win this game and gain the momentum and confidence. Punjab would want to forget their bowling from last match and focus on the new game. I am expecting some changes in bowling attack for Punjab. They got to find a place for Mujeeb ur Rehman which can boost up their spin department.
Hyderabad on the other hand, lost their last encounter against defending champions Mumbai Indians by 34 runs. They had made a great comeback after 2 losses from their first 2 matches by winning the next two matches. The absence of their pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar will somewhat hurt the Hyderabad side.
The most talked about issue with SRH was their fragile middle order. But the young players in the middle order have done well in recent matches. Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma were brilliant against Chennai. But the primary focus will be on their top order. David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey are the ones to be watched out for from SRH side.
