Five Player to watch out for in T20 World Cup

September 24, 2022 | Bandana Adhikari

The T20 World Cup 2022, due to take place in late October, will be one of the largest cricketing spectacles in less than a month.

Numerous individuals from around the world will compete in the country of Roos to determine the destiny of the world's crown in the game's shortest format. The journey to the final, though, is long and treacherous, and all teams will be yearning for somebody to look up to

Presenting my top 5 players to look out for in this WT20.

Virat Kohli

Former Indian Captain, player of the WT20 tournament in 2014 and 2016, will be eyeing a big in this blockbuster event. In the recently concluded Asia Cup, King Kohli was among the runs, finishing second in the list of top run scorers. He is always a pillar of the Indian team, and his team will rely heavily on him this time as well.

Suffice it to say, given his great fit for the bouncing Australian surfaces, he can easily be India's best bet. He has resumed playing shots that appeared to be lost. Following a fantastic Asia Cup, the T20 World Cup in 2022 will be another big fiesta for Virat.

Jos Buttler

With no Bairstow and Morgan, England batting is highly dependent on their new shortest format captain. Since IPL, the man has been in fantastic form, and he is still going strong. He won't pull any punches, and if he gets going for England, bazball will be a thing in international cricket, particularly in the format for which it was designed. He has been pretty fluid with his strokes and would like to keep it up as England is anxious to leave a mark in the T20 World Cup 2022.

Shaheen Shah Afridi

Shaheen was ruled out of the Asia cup, and Pakistan badly missed him. He was the one who led Pakistan to break their Wolrd cup jinx against India. With Shaheen being fully fit, Pakistan is breathing a huge sigh of reprieve. Afridi possesses raw pace and can easily clock over 150 km/hr, and with that much steam behind the ball on a pitch that has historically been adverse to batters, the Pakistani fast can draw a lot of attention.

Aiden Markra

Aiden Markram might be struggling with his form in the longer form of the game but when it comes to the shortest format, he is in great touch. Markram is having a great run in the T20s and is one of the most dependable players in the team. Markram is among such rare players who can go big from the first ball or can even play defenssive if needed. South African batsman will be hoping he continues his form if they fancy their chances.

David Warner

The Knagaroo's southpaw is a born cherry bomber, and considering his home settings, he will not hold back with his shots. He will open the innings for Australia in the T20 World Cup 2022, giving him the majority of the time to unleash those heavy strikes, and whether you like it or not, his expertise is too extensive to be deprived of a handful of eyes.
