Skipper Gyanendra Malla scored a brilliant century to guide Nepal to a 141 run victory over Bhutan in the second match of the ongoing South Asian Game (SAG) at TU Ground, Kirtipur. Gyanendra smashed 107 runs from 55 balls with 5 fours and 9 sixes.

Bhutan won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal got going with openers Paras Khadka and Gyanendra. Paras made a brisk 28 ball 57 which included 9 fours and a six. The duo added 108 runs for the first wicket iin 8.2 overs before Paras was caught by Singye off Dorji. Rohit Paudel made a 6 ball 6 while Aarif Sheikh remained unbeaten on runa a ball 4. Vice captain Dipendra Singh Airee played well for his 45 runs from 27 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes as Nepal posted a massive total of 236/3 from their allotted 20 overs.

This is the highest total for Nepal in T20 Internationals.The previous highest total for Nepal was 173 runs against Malaysia in last July. Skipper Gyanendra now holds the highest individual score in a T20I for Nepal. Former Captain Paras had scoreda century for Nepal against Singapore previously.

Bhutan in reply were restricted to 95/6 from 20 overs. Paras picked up 2 wickets while Karan KC, Lalit Rajbanshi and Pawan Sarraf shared a wicket each for Nepal.
