India level series 1-1 with 36 run victory over Australia
India registered a 36 run win over Australia in the second match of the ongoing 3 match ODI series to level the series 1-1. Australia had defeated India in the first ODI at Mumbai by 10 wickets.

Australia won the toss and elected to field first. India put on a 340/6 from 50 overs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer for India with 96 runs. Dhawan was unlucky to miss out on a well deserved hundred as he was caught by Starc off Kane Richardson. Dhawan faced 90 balls to score 13 fours and a six. Dhawan and Rohit Sharma put on 81 runs for the opening partnership before Rohit was leg before to Zampa. Rohit made 42 runs while Player of the Match KL Rahul made a 52 ball 80. Skipper Virat Kohli scored 78 runs.
Adam Zampa was the pick of the bowlers for Australia as he finished with the figures of 3-50. Richardson picked up 2 wickets.

Australia in reply lost David Warner early for 15 runs. Almost everyone in Australian batting lineup got a start but couldn't take their team to victory. Steve Smith too missed out on a hundred as he was bowled by Kuldeep for 98 runs. Marnus Labuschagne made 46 runs while skipper Aaron Finch scored 33 runs.
